News Release for AGRIEVOLUTION (15 May, 2013)

Agrievolution Forum to focus on global food security & farm machinery solutions

World summit set for December 5-6 in New Delhi, India

The 2013 Agrievolution Forum will focus on global food security and farm machinery solutions, as well as examine farm equipment markets across the globe. This world summit brings together top government officials, agriculture equipment manufacturers and other leading industry stakeholders to share knowledge and collaborate on key global agricultural issues.

The 2013 Agrievolution Forum will be held December 5-6 in New Delhi, India in conjunction with the EIMA AgriMach India trade exhibition.

Agribusiness executives, progressive growers, government officials, equipment manufacturing executives, academia and other industry stakeholders are invited to attend.

Ministers of Agriculture from all Alliance member countries (including Secretary Vilsack from the United States) have been invited to participate in a special panel discussion as well as a minister/ag equipment manufacturer executive breakfast. A forum luncheon and gala dinner also provides valuable time to network with global industry peers.

Agrievolution Forums are held approximately every 18 months at rotating world locations in conjunction with global agriculture industry events. Host of the 2013 forum is FICCI, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

“Countries may have different needs and face specific challenges, but agricultural equipment manufacturers are united to help assure a safe and abundant food supply, with increased efficiencies and productivity of today’s – and tomorrow’s – agricultural equipment,” stated Charlie O’Brien, Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) senior vice president and agriculture sector leader.

Forum details are online on the Alliance website at www.agrievolution.com.

Expanding the Global Platform: From Forum to Alliance
The machinery manufacturing associations involved in the Agrievolution Forum joined together in 2012 to form the Agrievolution Alliance, recognizing the need for continued information exchanges and collaboration among important agricultural regions. The Alliance represents thousands of agricultural equipment manufacturers around the globe. AEM holds a seat on the group’s steering committee and serves as Alliance secretariat.

“Through Alliance activities, AEM connects with government leaders and others with pivotal roles to assure the vitality of agriculture markets worldwide. We want to be part of the dialog and represent our members on global issues that affect their ability to conduct business across borders,” stated O’Brien.
