The deadline for the award-winning “Agricultural Machinery and Technologies Project/Design Competition”, which is carried out with the collaboration between TARMAKBİR and TARMAKDER with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry and sponsored by the MAİB Machinery Exporters’ Association, has been extended to 04 August 2023. Travel and overnight accommodation expenses of one person (a total of 10 people in each category) representing the teams that will present the projects/designs that are under evaluation in each category in our competition will be covered.
The competition which will receive project applications in two main categories will be open to all fields of agricultural technologies, from tillage to robotic systems, from harvesting technologies to variable rate spraying, from animal tracking systems to smart irrigation.
This organization, which primarily aims to build a bridge between the engineering candidates studying in undergraduate and graduate programs and the business world, it is aimed to increase engineering competence, leadership skills, team spirit and teamwork in higher education.
The competition will be held in two categories. The competition, which was designed for students who continue their education in the relevant undergraduate and graduate programs in the first category, will also be open to other interested parties in the agricultural machinery sector in the second category. In this context, it is aimed to realize innovative ideas in the field of agricultural machinery and technologies, and it will also be possible to bring together other stakeholders of the sector with academicians and contribute to university-industry cooperation.
There is no subject limitation in the competition. It is possible to participate in the competition with all kinds of projects/designs that are of interest to agricultural machinery and technologies and are suitable for market dynamics.
In order to participate in the competition, where the “Best Project/ Design Award”, “Most Innovative Project/ Design Award” and “Best R&D Project/ Design Award” will be awarded in both categories, one of the following conditions must be met:
– Being an undergraduate student or graduating from one of the Agricultural Machinery and Technologies Engineering or Biosystems Engineering Departments
– Being a graduate student or graduate in one of the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Technologies Engineering or Biosystems Engineering
– Working in the Agricultural Machinery sector (manufacturing, marketing, R&D, consultancy, etc.)
This competition, organized by TARMAKBİR and TARMAKDER, will increase the quality of the work to be done by university students to start-ups and will help to announce award-winning projects to industrial organizations and the sector. In this way, it is aimed not only to attract the attention of manufacturers in the sector but also to angel investors, and in this way, financial, marketing, consultant, material, laboratory and/or test support will be received and the resulting studies will be presented to the scientific world and research institutions.
