One of the biggest global trade shows, EIMA, was first organized in 1969 in Bologna, and 57 thousand foreigners, over 273 thousand people have visited the 45th edition of the expo held from 09 to 13 November 2022. It was estimated that approximately 1,700 companies, 500 of which were foreigners, opened stands in 122,000 m2 net area in the 2024 edition of the exposition. Turkey sent the most participants from outside Italy with 94 companies and institutions after China, presented its qualified workmanship and engineering quality in agricultural machinery to visitors at the fair with a superior price and performance ratio. Turkey also took part in the fair not only with final products but also with components and parts products, has an export volume of approximately 1.4 billion dollars (with an independent GTIP code), and agricultural machinery components and parts account for a significant amount of 313 million dollars as of 2023.
Turkey is also 3rd country among the foreign participants in the “AGRITECHNICA Agricultural Technologies Fair”, which is considered the “most respected and largest fair” of the sector in the world. In this respect, Turkey’s presence in the world’s 2 most important fairs is a crucial indicator of the point the sector has reached.
Of the 94 companies participating in the fair, 21 are members of TARMAKBİR, and the fair is dominated by component and part manufacturers. On the other hand, final product manufacturers, almost all of whom are members of TARMAKBİR, participated in the fair in very large areas compared to the stands where component and part exhibitions were held.
MAİB-TARMAKBİR stand at EIMA also hosted visitors from Turkey as well as providing info-desk service for foreign visitors and also hosted business meetings with foreign customers of TARMAKBİR members who did not have a stand at the fair.
