Considering the preliminary report regarding the agricultural machinery foreign trade in the January-November period of 2023, exports increased by 0.9 percent in value compared to the 2022 level and rose to 1,272 billion dollars. With this data, our sector ranked 6th among 23 sectors in the general machinery sectors ranking. Although our exports increased in value during this period, there was a decrease in quantity (-11.5%). Due to the base effect of this decrease, the export unit value per kg of agricultural machinery increased compared to the previous year and reached 5.4 dollars. The country order in our exports is the USA, Italy, Iraq, Russia, Azerbaijan, France, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Algeria and Australia. In the agricultural machinery sector, our imports in the January-October 2023 period increased by 103.4 percent compared to the 2022 level and reached 1,402 billion dollars. With this data, our sector increased the foreign trade deficit (4 million dollars), which started in June, to 155 million dollars in October.
In terms of overall machinery range, national exports in the January-November period of 2023 increased by 8.5 percent compared to the level of 2022 and reached the level of 22.46 billion dollars. The export unit value per kg was 7.2 dollars.
