The figures from the Traffic Registration Bureau show that 8,511 new agricultural tractors were registered in May 2023, a 44.9% increase over the same month in 2022.
On the other side, a total of 34,005 tractors were registered to the traffic during the first 5 months of 2023. Domestic sales rose by 47.5% in 2023 year-on-year, while it increased by 75% compared to the average of the last 5 years.
It is the highest monthly figure recorded after this March and, alongside the usual seasonal factors, could be an indication that the supply chain disruptions are starting to ease, allowing manufacturers to catch up with some of the backlogs.
