TARMAKBIR’s “Monthly Report” points out that tractor production number has decreased to its lowest level in at least four years according to the new figures from the major tractormakers — the drop was led by the reduction in demand because of the oversupply and soaring inflation rates.
Last year, the tractormakers ramped up the production volumes and the sector’s total volume set a record and reached 92.518 units in this period, far more than the 79,478 units produced in 2022, which was the most efficient post-pandemic year for Turkish manufacturers. Year-on-year, production declined by 13,6% this January, with 995 fewer units built compared to 2023 January.
