Turkey has a significant export potential for South Africa, which imports agricultural machinery worth 1 billion 190 million dollars as of 2023. The country is also a distribution center for neighboring countries. Considering the import volume and the profit margin in the sector, the country’s agricultural machinery market volume is estimated to be 2.7 billion dollars. Agricultural machinery with high export potential to the Republic of South Africa are tractors, soil tillage, pneumatic sowing machines including stubble sowing, agricultural fighting machines (field and garden type), balers and meadow mowers, weed machines, milking machines, feed preparation machines and irrigation. They are considered as machines. The customs duty rate for agricultural machinery is zero. Türkiye has so far performed relatively well in fertilizer spreading, mowing, and feed preparation machines.
