Among the thirteen participating companies from Türkiye, including Agrional, Agro Tiger, Anıl Yatağanlı, Boa Makine, Çelikel, Doğanlar, Global Taral, Özkan Makine, Polifil, Sağlamel, Sevsan, Starmax, and Yüzüak, showcased their products in the section designated for TARMAKBİR at the NAMPO 2025, the foremost organization in South Africa in terms of agricultural machinery. The Turkish National Pavilion, organized by the Central Anatolian Exporters’ Association (OAİB) as a national participation initiative, occurred at Nampo Park near Bothaville in the Free State Province from May 13-16, 2025. The fair attracted around 90,000 visitors and saw participation from countries such as Turkiye, the United Kingdom, the United States, Argentina, and Brazil.
The fair, which began in 1967, has grown to host over 900 participants and attract around 90,000 visitors today. Held in an open space of about 40 hectares, regional distributors showcased their machinery alongside manufacturing companies at their stands. Besides welcoming visitors from South Africa and neighboring countries at their booths, our industrialists had the chance to connect with other distributors attending the fair and present their products. The trade counselors from the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Pretoria, İlker Eralp and Bengü O. Erdoğan, also visited our stand and engaged with the participants. On the final day of the event, representatives from TARMAKBİR, OAİB, and MAİB met with the fair organizer, Grain SA Management. The fair continues to experience high demand, with many companies still on the waiting list. Following initial discussions with representatives from participating companies, the idea of expanding to a larger area next year and renting advertising spaces at the fair emerged as a key topic. Several Turkish companies also took part, primarily through distributors. Nampo saw significant air traffic, both in the skies and on the ground. According to Grain SA, this year’s air traffic included 377 aircraft and 69 helicopters, transporting visitors mainly from the business sector.
