To meet Asia’s varied agricultural demands, AGRITECHNICA ASIA was first hosted in Bangkok in 2017 and built on the tradition of AGRITECHNICA, the largest agricultural machinery trade show in the world, which is the promoter DLG, the German Agricultural Association.
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, hosted the 2025 edition of AGRITECHNICA ASIA, marking the event’s first time outside of Bangkok. UNESCAP-CSAM (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific – Center for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization), the Mongolian National Farmers’ Union, the China Agricultural Mechanization Association, the China Agricultural Machinery Distributors Association, the Indian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers’ Association, the Philippine Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers and Distributors Association, and the Thailand Agricultural Engineering Association were among the foreign visitors that Turkey’s Machinery welcomed when it opened an information booth at AGRITECHNICA ASIA, which was held concurrently with HortEx Vietnam 2025.
In addition to 10,693 visitors, 303 participants from 30 countries attended the fairs, and 30 international conferences were held as part of the exhibition. Among the member companies, Erhas and Yüzüak set up an exhibit in the HortEx area while some members, like Fimaks, Çelikel, Bufer, and Özdöken took part in AGRITECHNICA ASIA. It was particularly interesting that a large number of Turkish enterprises involved in fertilizer and irrigation participated at HortEx.
Additionally, on Wednesday and Thursday, TARMAKBİR attended the seminars hosted by the Asia and Pacific Region Agricultural Machinery Testing Network (ANTAM), which is run by UNESCAP-CSAM (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific – Center for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization), of which Turkey is a member. As part of the seminars, ANTAM codes and processes were discussed, but there was also a technical session on combine harvester and backpack sprayer codes.
On the other hand, TARMAKBİR and DLG representatives came together on the second day of the fair and held a meeting about fair collaborations. The fair will be held again in Thailand in 2026.
