In the upcoming months, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey will initiate the Turkey Climate Smart and Competitive Agricultural Growth Project (TUCSAP) Sub-Component 3.2 which focuses on encouraging the adoption of climate-smart agriculture (İAT) Technologies/Applications. Additionally, the Grant Program for Investments in Smart Agriculture Technologies and the Agricultural-Food Sector Improvement Project in Earthquake-Affected Provinces, backed by World Bank financing, will be launched as the “Joint Machinery Park” (TARDİP).
The total grant budget allocated to these two initiatives for farmers is $56 million. Applications for the grants will be accepted by the Provincial Directorates of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey.
Conversely, the “Training of Trainers Program” aimed at encouraging the use of Climate Smart Agricultural Technologies/Applications, was held with about 70 attendees from the Provincial Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry at UTAEM—International Agricultural Research and Training Center (Menemen) and Söke Agricultural Production Enterprise Agricultural Dissemination and In-Service Training Center Directorate from May 26 to 28, 2025.
