As part of the third UR-GE Project organized by TARMAKBİR, a Trade Delegation Program took place in Thailand from July 22-25, 2025, involving nine companies: Agrional, Anıl Yatağanlı, Bağsan, Bufer, Çelpa, Ege Şaft, Harmak, Paksan, and Türkay. This program coincided with the CIAME ASIA Fair and featured business meetings with local distributors as well as participation in various events. The costs incurred under the AMAX UR-GE Project managed by TARMAKBİR receive 75% funding from the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey.
As a part of the initiative that commenced on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, a delegation from TARMAKBİR paid a courtesy visit to Jülide Kayıhan, the Turkish Ambassador to Thailand. The delegation also held discussions with our Commercial Counselor, İsmail Hakkı Görücü. TARMAKBİR Secretary General M. Selami İleri shared insights regarding the sector, while Görücü provided important information about Thailand to the participants. The TARMAKBİR delegation initiated its commercial marketing efforts on the same day and engaged with visitors at the information booth that was offered at no cost to TARMAKBİR by the fair organizers in connection with the CIAME ASIA Fair. Additionally, the delegation made a courtesy visit to the President of the TSAE Thai Agricultural Engineering Association, one of the collaborating organizations at the fair, at their booth. The fair also featured a variety of seminars. In this regard, as part of “The First Asia Symposium on Intelligent Agricultural Machinery and Smart Agriculture (ASIASMA),” which was organized jointly by China Agricultural University and Kasetsart University and backed by the United Nations ESCAP Center for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization, Prof. Dr. A. Behiç Tekin, a member of the TARMAKBİR Academic Advisory Group, presented one of the 11 talks titled “New Generation Smart Technologies in Weed Control.” The concluding event of the day was the “DLG Mix & Mingle” networking gathering arranged by DLG, a Germany-based organization focused on agriculture and food. This evening event, attended by the UR-GE delegation, had over 60 guests from the agricultural sector, including representatives from government bodies, agricultural businesses, research organizations, the media, and international collaborators.
As a component of the UR-GE Project, B2B meetings took place in a designated hall at the fairgrounds, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24th. Our members were able to engage with representatives from 23 distributors who accepted the invitation and showcased their products. Additionally, participants took part in a B2B program arranged by the fair organizers on that same day.
