The 36th Agricultural Mechanization and Energy Congress was held in Mardin, organized by Mardin Artuklu University and Siirt University, from September 10 to 12, 2025. During the Congress, essential insights and experiences related to agricultural energy and mechanization, vital for the future of our nation’s agriculture, were exchanged with the support of TARMAKBİR and TARMAKDER. The first day of the program featured a TARMAKBİR Special Session addressing “Digital Transformation in Agriculture: Innovation Ecosystem and Networking.” The session, moderated by TARMAKBİR Secretary General M. Selami İleri, featured panelists Nejla Furtana, Coordinator of the Agricultural Technologies and Mechanization Department of the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey; Dr. Erçin Güdücü, Secretary General of the İzmir Commodity Exchange, a partner of the AgrInnovate European Digital Innovation Center; Nafiz Sezer, Board Member of Sezer Agricultural and Milking Technologies; and Dr. Galip Öztürk, General Manager of the KTO Innovative Technologies Center.
As part of the congress, awards were given to the winning projects across three categories in the Agricultural Machinery and Technologies Project/Design Competition (TARMAKTEK), which is being held for the third time this year in collaboration with TARMAKBİR and TARMAKDER. The awards were sponsored by our members Öntar Agricultural Tools Industry and Trade Co. Ltd., Önallar Agricultural Machinery Inc., and Paksan Machinery Industry and Trade Inc., and the prize checks were presented to the students during a ceremony.
