Turkish agricultural machinery sectoral exports declined by 12.6 percent during the January–April period of 2025 (excluding free zones), amounting to $376 million compared to 2024, according to the April 2025 foreign trade report from the Machinery Exporters’ Association of MAİB. As indicated by these figures, the sector ranked sixth out of 23 in the overall machinery sector classification. The average export price per kilogram during this timeframe stood at $5.4. Regarding trade partner rankings, the countries leading in international trade include Italy, the United States, Azerbaijan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Iraq, France, Ukraine, Germany, and Algeria. Another crucial indicator for the industry, imports, saw a decrease of 43.6 percent compared to 2024 figures, amounting to 231 million dollars.
As a result, the sector achieved a foreign trade surplus of 102 million dollars. The contraction in exports can primarily be attributed to the tractor segment. The report compiled by the MAİB Machinery Exporters’ Association on this matter can be found at the link.
