CIAME 2024 China International Agricultural Machinery Expo was held at Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center, China, between 26-28 October 2024, with the theme of “Creating New Agricultural Machinery Efficiency and Accelerating the Construction of an Agricultural Power”. The exhibition was held in cooperation with the China Agricultural Machinery Distributors Association (CAMDA), China Agricultural Mechanization Association (CAMA) and China Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association (CAAMM).
Approximately 200 thousand people visited the exposition in a gross fair area of 220 thousand m2. While Germany and Italy made national participation in the fair, the MAİB Machinery Exporters’ Association contributed to our sector promotion with an info stand it opened. Şenol Önal represented MAİB at the expo.
The event’s official opening ceremony was attended by Hunan Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee Member and Vice Governor Zhang Yingchun and China National Machinery Industry Association Chairman Zhang Xiaolun, as well as important names in the sector. TARMAKBİR Secretary General M. Selami İleri was also included in the ceremony protocol at the opening hosted by Zhao Yanshui, Vice President of the China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association.
China, where approximately 260 thousand tractors larger than 30 hp were sold in the first 3 quarters of 2024, continues to be one of the important countries in the world in the sector, with both its domestic market size and export volume. The profile, competitive aspects and advantages of the Turkish Agricultural Machinery Industry were explained to the participants with the country presentation made by İleri at the “Foreign Product Promotion Conference” event under the roof of MAİB.
Three halls were allocated for companies participating in the fair from Italy, Germany, Canada, Turkey, Japan, Algeria and South Korea. The number of registered overseas visitors, especially from Southeast Asia and Central Asia, increased compared to the previous year and exceeded 2,000.
