*About ReCAMA:
The Regional Council of Agricultural Machinery Associations (ReCAMA) was established in 2014 by the Center for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (CSAM) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
ReCAMA, chaired by TARMAKBİR, aims to promote sustainable agricultural mechanization in the Asia and Pacific Region by strengthening the capacity of national agricultural machinery associations, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and information, and developing cooperation and closer business ties between national associations and their members.
As of 2020, ReCAMA has created a business opportunity worth approximately 29 million USD for its members. Additionally, ReCAMA was cited as ‘Good Practice in South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSC/TRC) for Sustainable Development’ by the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation in its global publication in 2020. ReCAMA currently has 21 member associations from 15 countries.
*South-South cooperation refers to development cooperation between developing countries in the Global South. When South-South Cooperation is implemented with the support of a Northern partner, it is called Triangular Cooperation.
