The latest version of the flash report shows that the total value of ag-machinery exported (excluding free trade zone areas) was down by 5.5 percent year-on-year and fell to $1,1B. As things stand, the sector ranked 6th among 23 categories in the overall machinery sector ranking. The value of exports was $5.4 per kg and the top trade partners were respectively the USA, Italy, Iraq, Russia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, France, Mexico, Portugal, and Algeria in this period. In terms of imports, the total value of the three quarters decreased by 18.2 percent year-on-year and amounted to $1B. Thus, the sector’s foreign trade surplus amassed $76M. Thus, total machinery exports in the January-October period of 2024 (excluding free trade zone areas) decreased by 1 percent yoy levels and fell to $20B and the unit value increased to $7.4 per kg.
