According to the preliminary data, the farm machinery exports of manufacturing companies bring in about 1,3 billion dollars in 2021. Thus, Turkey’s exports spiked to 27.6 percent last year. Meanwhile, the FM industry ranked 6th among the 22 machinery sectors.
These data are the records of the Exporters’ Associations, and it is expected that our agricultural machinery exports will exceed 1.4 billion dollars with the exports made from the free zones, and our total agricultural machinery exports are expected to approach 1.5 billion dollars by the end of 2021, with the tractor cabin, which cannot be evaluated because there is no separate GTIP code. The overall machinery sector exports totaled 21 billion USD in the same period, while the ratio of change was 23,3 percent. The overall export value per kilogram is at the level of 5.9 dollars. In farm machinery, the unit value per kg is 4.6 dollars. The US was the top market for the national farm machinery industry and other export partners are respectively Uzbekistan, Italy, Azerbaijan, Iraq, France, Russia, Sudan, Romania, and Serbia.
In the balance of trade, exports to imports in 2021 were 165.8 percent, and the farm machinery imports increased by 79.5 percent amounting to 790 million dollars last year
