Climate Intelligent and Competitive Agricultural Growth Project (TUCSAP) was ceremonially launched recently. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will carry out the project in partnership with the World Bank for production planning and protection of agricultural lands and the environment in Turkey. TARMAKBİR takes place as one of the major partners and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) will finance the project.
Within a budget of 341 million dollars, the use of smart agricultural technologies will be supported with a grant budget of 33 million dollars. In this context, the agricultural technologies that are envisaged to be supported are expected to consist of the following systems.
■ Decision Support Systems in Agriculture
■ Variable Rate Agricultural Input Applications
■ Auxiliary Steering Systems
In addition to these topics, other current technologies applied in agriculture can be added to the scope of the project by evaluating the needs and supply opportunities determined according to the results of the rapid review to be made in the first year of the project.
Farmer organizations will benefit from these supports rather than individual farmers.
■ Agricultural producer organizations (Cooperatives, Unions, Chambers of Agriculture)
■ Agribusiness companies working with contract farmers
■ Dedicated service providers targeting small and medium-sized farmers
