The 10th ReCAMA Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers and Distributors Training and Study Tour and the 11th ReCAMA Member Meeting, which took place in Wuhan, China, from October 24–29, 2025, brought together industry participants from the Asia-Pacific area. The event’s central focus this year was “Innovative Technologies in Agricultural Mechanization.” The CIAME International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition was held concurrently with the activities.

Regional Collaboration and Information Exchange
For many years, ReCAMA (Regional Council of Agricultural Machinery Associations of Asia and the Pacific) has been a prominent forum for information exchange, technological transfer, and regional collaboration. The Center for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (CSAM), a branch of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), coordinated this year’s program once more in cooperation with top Chinese agricultural mechanization associations. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Sessiz represented TARMAKBİR on the occasion.

The National Research University Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers and CSAM signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) after the opening comments at the event’s opening ceremony on October 25. Following the signing ceremony, the China Agricultural Machinery Distributors Association delivered a talk titled “Creating a Regional Digital Agriculture Service System: Chinese Practices for Increasing Small and Medium-Scale Farmers’ Income and Sustainable Agricultural Development.” Other speakers in this session included representatives from Sinomach Digital Technology Inc. and Shanghai AllyNav Technology Co., Ltd., who discussed “Exploration and Application of Smart Agricultural Machinery Equipment in All Scenarios.”
The 11th ReCAMA Membership Meeting included the afternoon sessions. After the introductory speech, the Malaysian Agricultural Machinery Association was chosen as Vice President and the Mongolian National Farmers’ Union as ReCAMA’s 2026 President. The member associations gave presentations after the elections. “Harvest and Post-Harvest Mechanization” and “Latest Technologies in Agriculture” were the topics of these talks. The 2025 work report and the 2026 plan were the last items on the members’ meeting’s agenda. The China International Agricultural Machinery Trade Summit included a B2B Gala Dinner later that night.

Participants had the chance to see the newest advancements in agricultural technology at the CIAME 2025 Fair on October 26–27. Field trips to Huazhong Agricultural University and Hubei Yongxiang Agricultural Equipment Company took place on October 28, the last day of the program.

Digital Transformation in Agriculture
Technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, and digitalization are driving a radical transformation in the agricultural sector. These innovations offer solutions to fundamental challenges such as increased productivity, labor shortages, climate resilience, and sustainable food systems. Given the prevalence of small-scale farming and an aging rural population in the Asia-Pacific region, the importance of smart and connected agricultural machinery is even greater. The event aims to contribute to the widespread adoption of these technologies across the region. Towards a Shared Future: ReCAMA 2025 will be a significant milestone in accelerating the digital transformation in agriculture, disseminating innovative technologies, and strengthening regional cooperation. The event aims to bring together producers, distributors, policymakers, and technology entrepreneurs to build a more productive, inclusive, and sustainable agricultural future.
